Our Mission
At the Repair Cafe, we are dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability by encouraging the repair and reuse of everyday items. Our repair cafe provides a welcoming space where community members can bring broken items to see if they can be fixed to extend the life with the help of skilled volunteers. By fostering a culture of repair, we aim to reduce waste, save resources, and strengthen community bonds.
Cakes and Refreshments are very important at the repair cafe. Enjoy the excellent variety of cakes with a cup of tea or coffee and get to know other members of your community while your items are being fixed.
Additional Displays
We often have additional displays at the cafe and welcome new volunteers. The items that can be fixed range from textiles and jewellery to bicycles and many household electrical items.

2025 Dates: 18 Jan, 15 Mar, 17 May, 19 Jul, 20 Sep, 8Nov 14:00 -17:00 including Bike Maintenance, Tools with a Mission, Madginford Hall, Egremont Road. ME15 8LH
Repair cafes are meeting places to repair things together. Matching up people who can help repair thing to tackle the throw away culture. If you are good at repairing your own stuff please volunteer to repair. Contact Bearsted CAN email to register as a volunteer. Volunteers required.
If you have broken things, please bring along things you would like to be repaired. Clothes, furniture, crockery, toys, electrical appliances.
Bearsted Climate Action Network is a new community group bringing people together from Bearsted & the surrounding area to work together to tackle the Climate & Ecological Emergency.
